Yes, climate change is real & is supported by a vast body of scientific evidence!
Human activities-particularly the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, & industrial processes-have significantly increased the concentration of greenhouse gases (like carbon dioxide) in the atmosphere. This increase traps more heat & leads to global warming, which in turn drives changes in climate patterns.
The consequences of unchecked climate change include:
Rising global temperatures: This leads to more frequent & intense heatwaves, which can severely impact human health, agriculture, & ecosystems.
Melting polar ice & rising sea levels: This threatens coastal communities & ecosystems & can lead to the displacement of populations.
More extreme weather events: Hurricanes, droughts, floods, & wildfires are becoming more severe & frequent, causing widespread damage & disruption.
Disruption of ecosystems: Many species are at risk of extinction due to changing habitats, which can have cascading effects on food webs & biodiversity.
Impact on agriculture: Changing weather patterns can disrupt crop production, leading to food shortages & increased prices.
Welcome to the Silicon Valley Global Prospects Summit 2025 (SVGPS), co-hosted with Plug & Play CTN.
