Pireeni Sundaralingam is a cognitive scientist who undertook both her undergraduate & postgraduate work at the University of Oxford, & conducted further research into human cognition at UCLA & MIT. Her poetry has been published in more than two dozen literary journals & translated into five languages. Dr. Sundaralingam is a Fellow at the Exploratorium, & teaches in the Interdisciplinary Arts & Writing MFA program at CIIS, including teaching MFA courses on topics such as creativity, the neuroscience of poetry & perception, as well as architecture, urban activism, & creative writing. A former science consultant for the Irish Government's Ministry of Art, Culture, & Heritage, she is currently Principal Advisor for Human Potential for the United Nations Museum.
