Hacking the DAO & Parity: How we can learn from it & take steps to secure your smart contracts?
On June 12, 2016, the Ethereum community suffered from a massive hack, about$64 million ETH (15 percent of ether in circulation)got hacked from the DAO through an exploit found within its smart contracts. It divided the Ethereum core community between two groups both with clashing ideology for a solution to move forward leading with the majority agreeing to accept a hard fork & leaving the rest to continue on an alternate parallel reality of the original Ethereum blockchain anchored by the Ethereum Classic.
