She's a fearless advocate for women-owned cannabis businesses, & equally dedicated to breaking the stigma & rewriting the script around the plant. With a degree in Chemical & Biological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Erin is also fluent in the science-based talk of cannabis & production.
Jamie L. Pearson, COO Bhang Corporation Jamie is responsible for the overall vision & direction of the company on a global scale & its entre into international distribution & capital markets. The daughter of a cannabis cultivator, she literally grew up in the industry & has watched it evolve from Reagan's war on drugs to where it is now. In her professional life before Bhang, Jamie founded & oversaw the day-to-day leadership, general management & operations for a successful real estate investment, finance, & management firm. Jamie currently owns a real estate portfolio that spans three countries. In 2015, she co-founded a celebrity cannabis agency, working with iconic artists such as Cypress Hill & Die Antwoord to initiate ventures with brands like Bhang & Natural Cannabis. She has personally owned cultivation operations in Northern California & Montana & has been a cannabis-friendly landlord for over 15 years. At Bhang, she is in charge of all areas of operations including corporate management, strategic planning, banking & finance, global licensee & vendor relationships, supply chain, customer service, hiring & personnel oversight. A certified team builder, published author & popular speaker in both the cannabis & real estate industries, Jamie's best-of-both-worlds" experience is not only unique & unmatched, it provides a breadth of knowledge that appeals to newcomers & veterans alike. Isaac Dietrich. Founder/Chairman/CEO MassRoots Inc In his various positions, he is responsible for executing MassRoots' strategic business development. He was the co-founder & majority shareholder of RoboCent.com from June 2012 until his buyout in December 2016. From February 2010 to December 2010, Mr. Dietrich served as Field Director for former Congressman E. Scott Rigell's campaign.
Dennis O'Malley CEO/President Caliva the largest vertically integrated cannabis company in California. Driven by a passion for enabling people to choose their own health & wellness options, Mr. O'Malley has launched Caliva into a rapid growth phase, racing to become the #1 trusted brand in cannabis. Mr. O'Malley has over a 20 year track record of leadership roles in fast growing companies in emerging markets as well as successfully raising capital from institutional investors & in addition holds multiple technology patents. Most recently Mr. O'Malley co-founded & lead a venture backed software company that enabled brands like Red Bull, Nike, Adidas, The North Face, & Reebok to scale their revenue through ambassador marketing programs. The company was sold in 2016 for a 10x revenue multiple. Mr. O'Malley holds an MBA from Santa Clara University where he graduated with honors
Chris Van Gundy Partner Sheppard Mullin counsels & represents food companies in litigation matters involving Lanham Act & consumer false advertising claims, class actions & brand protection, as well as in regulatory matters involving supply chain liability, product labeling reviews, California's Proposition 65, food borne pathogens, & organic, natural, healthy, & nutrient content claims, to name a few. Chris also counsel companies regarding federal, state, & local regulatory compliance, labeling issues, & supply chain liability in the CBD/cannabis space. Prior to joining Sheppard Mullin, Chris' in-house experience included representation of an affiliated group of food companies involving marquee brands of juice, bottled water, tree nuts & citrus. He is one of the founders of the California State Bar's Food Law Committee, promoting education, awareness & practice development of an emerging body of food law & regulation. Chris co-hosts an annual food law conference, & is a frequent speaker on a wide variety of food law issues.
B-Legit CoFounder Sick With It Records along with E40. Brandt Jones is a Bay Area rap icon better known to many as B-Legit. B Legit debuted in the early '90s with a hardcore style that he'd carry through decades of solo releases, collaborative efforts, & mixtapes. After attending Grambling State University, where he studied Computer Science he joined The Click a hip-hop group that also featured his cousins E40, Suga-T, & D-Shot. The quartet scattered three studio albums across the '90s & early 2000s. Game Related, the second of the trio, placed the Vallejo, California-based group just outside the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 in 1995, the same year B Legit -- along with E40 & D Shot -- appeared on 2 Pac's "Ain't Hard 2 Find." B-Legit's s solo career began in earnest while The Click were active. By the end of the '90s, he had three solo albums to his credit, highlighted by Hemp Music (1996), on which he was joined by the likes of E40, Suga-T, Celly Cel, Kurupt from Deathrow Records & even soft rock legend Daryl Hall. In 2018, B-Legit & E40 reunited & released Connected & Respected. The rap veteran is a also a tech enthusiast who now has his eyes set on Silicon Valley to disrupt the music industry.
Moderator: Mark Crager Founder/Managing Partner Next Stage Partners with a focus on bringing meaningful innovation from early-stage fintech companies to leading financial institutions & merchants. He has extensive payments industry experience with a proven track record of moving products from concept to commercialization in consumer & B2B environments. Prior to Next Stage Partners Mark held executive management roles at Visa working with merchants & financial institutions. He successfully launched a variety of P2P, prepaid, mobile & e-commerce products & platforms. Prior to Visa, Mark held a National Sales Manager position at Sony & launched new divisions for both Nestle & Johnson & Johnson in the consumer packaged goods space. He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from California State University, Chico. Mark is a Member Board Advisor with StartX, the Stanford University incubator for fintech startups, a Mentor at Plug & Play, the innovation accelerator & an Advisor to several payments technology companies.
