ABOUT OUR KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Paul Salvaire
Deputy Consul General of France in San Francisco
Paul Salvaire has been Deputy Consul General of France in San Francisco since September 1, 2023. A career diplomat, Paul Salvaire joined the Ministry of Europe & Foreign Affairs of France in 2011. He held various positions in Paris & abroad. Before arriving in San Francisco, Paul was assistant director for environment & climate at the ministry in Paris, from 2020 to 2023. In this capacity, he represented France in international negotiations on climate & biodiversity. From 2017 to 2020, Paul Salvaire was counsellor for global issues at the French Embassy in New Delhi. He was in particular responsible for strengthening Franco-Indian cooperation in the field of energy & climate. From 2014 to 2017, Paul was the chief of staff of the French Ambassador to the United Kingdom. He began his career in 2011 as a desk officer in the development department at the ministry. Aged 37, Paul is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) & Paris-Sorbonne University. X: @PaulSalvaire

Kevin Koy
Executive Director - Eric & Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science & Environment at UC Berkeley
Kevin Koy is Executive Director for the Eric & Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science & Environment at Berkeley (DSE) where he works to enable the Center's mission to develop impactful computational solutions to the challenges facing our environment. He brings more than two decades of experience working in environmental science, data science, & human-centered design with the goal of providing people with the best environments & approaches to take on complex challenges. Kevin comes to the Schmidt Center for DSE from the global design & innovation firm, IDEO, where he served as Senior Director working to develop a data-enabled design practice. Previously, he was the founding Executive Director of the Berkeley Institute for Data Science (BIDS), Managing Director of Stanford University's Data Science & AI Affiliates Programs, Executive Director of UC Berkeley's Geospatial Innovation Facility (GIF), & Geospatial/Remote Sensing Specialist for the American Museum of Natural History's Center for Biodiversity & Conservation & the Smithsonian Institution's Conservation Biology Institute.
Jackson Morrow
Vice President, Climate Tech - J.P. Morgan
Jackson Morrow is part of JP Morgan's Green Economy banking team based in San Francisco. He started his career at Silicon Valley Bank & has been covering the climate tech space for seven years working with VC-backed startups from seed stage through growth stage. Jackson is passionate about leveraging private & public capital to advance decarbonization globally.
Kavi Reddy
Senior Strategic Partnerships Associate - Activate
Kavi Reddy joins us from Activate.org a world-class entrepreneurial fellowship program for scientists. Kavi's role on the strategic partnerships team is to help Activate Fellows connect with corporate partners to collaborate on research, joint development, & commercializing climate technology to decarbonize heavy industry & reinvent a sustainable & equitable economy for all. Prior to Activate, Kavi has worked across startups, venture capital, & non-profits focused on AgriTech, food systems innovations, & enterprise Saas. Kavi is also passionate about accelerating India's climate ecosystem & is a core team member of India Climate Week.
Matthieu Soul
Partner - Cathay Innovation
Matthieu has spent over 16 years working between the USA & Europe for BNP Paribas & advises global corporate clients, who are leaders in mobility, energy, financial services, retail & food & ag sectors on their innovation strategy & climate journey. In his last role, he was the Head of BNP Paribas innovation lab in San Francisco since 2020 & US Venture Partner for BNP Paribas' climate tech fund called Solar Impulse Venture Fund. Matthieu was the spokesperson for BNP Paribas on Innovation & Sustainability in the USA & has been listed by the Financial Times Sifted as one of the top 36 European climate tech leaders to follow in 2022. For seven years, he was the Silicon Valley anchor for BFM Business Tech&Co TV show (the French TV & radio equivalent of CNBC in France) sharing technology hot news & trends every month. Over his career, he has done over 200 media interviews & conferences for CNBC, Nasdaq TV, Bloomberg, AFP, Yahoo, Techonomy Climate, Money 20/20, Insurtech Connect, Finnovate, Move Americas or EFMA. He shared on a regular basis his expertise with executives & students in the Bay Area & abroad like UC Berkeley, Harvard Kennedy School, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), HEC, ESCP Business school or Audencia business school among others. He is also involved in the startup community as a community host in the Bay Area for My climate Journey (MCJ), mentor for a startup accelerator called Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA) based in San Francisco, & an advisor to GreenTech Alliance, a greentech startup association based in Europe. Matthieu received a master's degree from Audencia Business School with a minor in Consulting & international strategic management. He also finished the executive program from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) on sustainability in business.

Jill Finlayson
Managing Director - CITRIS Innovation Hub
Jill Finlayson is the Managing Director of the CITRIS Innovation Hub at CITRIS & the Banatao Insitute. She is leading the CITRIS Innovation Intensive on Climate (October 28-Nov 1 - bit.ly/CITRISclimateintensive2024) & is mentoring with 9 UC Berkeley student Climate Innovation Fellows working on their climate startups. She also leads EDGE in Tech at UC, with a focus on expanding diversity & gender equity in tech. Prior to Berkeley, she led mentorship & startup programs for Singularity University Ventures, the Toys category at eBay, an online community for Skoll Foundation, marketing at startups, & the World Bank's Striking Poverty. Finlayson is a graduate of UC Berkeley. She, hers.
