Mission Statement:
Our group is wholly committed to connecting data-driven women in San Francisco! DDW was developed as a home for inspiring Bay Area women who impact every aspect of the data that makes our world run & our industry thrive. We know talking about data can be intimidating, but the members of our group make data, approachable & our events fun.
We aim to aid in directly projecting the voices of inspiring women in our industry who contribute daily to our greater community. We create a platform for individual stories, & organizations who truly care about diversity & inclusion, & anyone who believes in the support, empowerment, inspiration, & inclusion of women & accessibility for women in the workplace.
The organizers of this group possess 20+ collective years in recruitment & career coaching & are committed to sharing all of our learnings with the DDW community. Each event includes access to free resume reviews, interview training & feedback, & offer/salary negotiation.
Our Event Host: Planet (planet.com)
Founded in 2010 by a team of ex-NASA scientists, Planet is driven by a mission to image the entire Earth every day, & make Earth's changes visible, accessible & actionable.
Planet started as a small team of physicists, aerospace & mechanical engineers in a garage, using the cubesat form-factor to inform the first designs of the Dove satellite. Just three years after our first satellite entered space, we now operate the largest constellation of Earth-imaging satellites...ever.
Our satellites are collecting a radical new data set with endless, real-world applications. Whether youre measuring agricultural yields, monitoring natural resources, or aiding first responders after natural disasters, our data is here to lend businesses & humanitarian organizations a helping hand. Planet believes timely, global imagery will empower informed, deliberate & meaningful stewardship of our planet.

Job Search & Career Guidance:
Data Driven Women (DDW) is committed to accessibility. Navigating the job search, managing your career as a woman, is challenging. Weve made it a point to help as many people as we can, one-on-one, with each event. The second hour of each event is where attendees can receive free resume feedback, interview feedback, & even get help negotiating an offer or their next salary raise.
