We're back for another Girls in Tech, hackathon. This hackathon enables developers, creatives, & entrepreneurs from all over the NYC & tri-state area to co-create solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing us today. Go from an idea to a working proof of concept within a weekend!

Get hands-on experience developing your focused skill set.

Collaborate with experienced mentors & join a workshop to learn new skills.

Network & build relationships with like-minded people in the local start-up community

Participate in group pitches in front of local business leaders

Win prizes!!

This year, teams will have the opportunity to partner with non-profit organizations to help respond to climate change.

Solutions will be evaluated in the following areas: innovation, impact & viability of implementation. NO technical skills required! Open to marketers, technologists, strategists, creatives, humanists & students. This event is a woman-, man-, non-binary-, POC-, & LGBTQIA-friendly environment! We welcome this opportunity to anyone who is interestedin fact, the more diverse the team is.. the better the solutions!

This event will provide skill-building optional workshops. Mentors will also be provided to help teams think through problems.

You can register with your own team (teams of 3-5 people) or get matched the week leading up to the event.


Hustlers/Entrepreneurs: Hackathons are great places to test ideas, build a startup, build leadership & practice your pitching skills.

Designers/Creatives: Design for real company scenarios & expand your portfolio. This is a chance to apply design thinking methodologies from ideation to research to prototyping.

Hackers: Create a technology toolkit that can have real impact. Challenge your coding skills & use it as an opportunity to learn new languages & tools.

Students: Hackathons provide lots of opportunities to get startup-like work experience. It's a great way to build your resume & demonstrate your drive, your ability to be creative, work in teams, & innovate.

Corporate Employees: If you're looking to break out of your current role, or are reentering the workforce, Hackathons are great for sharpening & developing new skills, experimenting with new job roles. Use this as an opportunity to network with our sponsors for potential job opportunities.

Inventors & Early Adopters: This gives you the opportunity to stretch your creativity in a fun challenging environment. You'll be with like minded people & you can lead the way for other first timers.


What's included:

Breakfast, Lunch & snacks will be provided.

Optional workshops to build applicable skills.

Mentors will also be provided to help teams think critically.

This is an in person event. All participants must attend the Opening Ceremony & Team Presentations.

Participants must be atleast 18 years of age & older.

What to bring:

Bring your laptop & charger! Charging outlets will be available.


1. Download Slack - slack will be used to make announcements, provide documentations, & allow teams to collaborate

2. Create a Devpost account - submissions will be made through Devpost

3. Fill out team formation Google Form sent to your email the week of the Hackathon
