Kick-start your Blockchain network with the VS Code extension.

In this session you will learn how to spin up a Blockchain network based on the latest open source Hyperledger Fabric framework using the next generation platform, or if you prefer to build it manually component by component. We will review key concepts around developing a Blockchain network.

About the Presenter :

Jenna Ritten (@jritten) is a cloud software developer turned developer advocate for IBM Cloud. She works on expanding the reach of IBM's technology to Austin's open source developer community. Her areas of interest include hackathons, design-thinking workshops, NLU/NLP, gamification, & Blockchain technologies. Originally from Detroit, Jenna move to San Francisco to attend Dev Bootcamp to learn full-stack web development. She joined IBM as part of the Tech Re-Entry program, transitioning from a career in healthcare. She mainly works in Ruby & Javascript, but she also teaches Python at a local Austin high school as an instructor for Code2College. She is passionate about Blockchain technologies & their applications to provide global impact to developing countries. She is a strong believer in supporting underrepresented & non-traditional people in tech, much like herself, & providing support by building & fostering communities that need it the most.
