We're in San Francisco for three weeks, & Monday the 17th belongs to the research community.
This is a casual evening at our showroom. Our arms will be running all night, our engineers will be on the floor, & you're welcome to take the controls yourself. Teleoperate a WidowX arm through Glide & get a feel for what data collection actually looks like when the hardware isn't fighting you.
Enjoy a room full of researchers, robots, & drinks. Come for twenty minutes or stay the whole three hours.
What you can do:
Teleoperate our arms hands-on via Glide
See Rivet, the WidowX family, & the Workbench setup running live
Talk directly to the engineers who build & support the hardware
Meet other people working on manipulation, imitation learning, & physical AI in the Bay
Get entered to win a Meta Quest
Win a Meta Quest: Check in at the door & you're entered in our residency sweepstakes. We're giving away a Meta Quest headset to one attendee, the same class of hardware a lot of teams use for VR teleoperation & data collection. One entry per person. No purchase necessary. Must be 18 or older, & present a valid photo ID to enter. Full rules at the door.
Who this is for: Faculty & PIs, grad students & postdocs, lab managers, research engineers, & university robotics clubs. If you work on robot learning, or want to, you're in the right room.
Details: Monday, August 17 6:00-9:00 PM
Mission Robotics, 3001 19th St #201, San Francisco, CA 94110. Space is limited. RSVP below & we'll confirm your spot by email.
Please note: Alcohol will be served to guests 21 & over; bring a valid ID, we'll be checking at the door. We'll also be filming & photographing throughout the evening for Trossen content.
Want dedicated time with the hardware? We're running private demos throughout the residency, August 13-28. Book a demo https://www.trossenrobotics.com/sf-residency
