Sobremesa is the part of the meal nobody schedules - when the plates are cleared & the real conversation starts. That's the whole event. We skipped straight to it.
This is not a mixer & it is not a pitch night. There is no panel & no deck. Just founders who are building between Latin America & the United States, at one table, talking about the parts they don't put on LinkedIn.
The guest list is the product, so it is built by hand. Every application is reviewed.

Founders who have raised Seed or beyond, based in New York or operating here. Cross-sector by design - fintech next to healthtech next to logistics, because the useful conversations happen between people solving different problems with the same constraints.

Dinner is covered by a sponsor who works with founders like the ones at this table. They'll say a few words at the start & then eat with everyone else. We pick partners whose work actually applies to this room - immigration, payroll, hiring across borders - so the conversation stays useful in both directions.
Why October 16
It closes a week. The night before, Ugly Talk NYC brings Latino founders on stage to tell the version they leave out of the pitch. This dinner is the smaller, quieter room the night after - same community, twenty seats instead of a hundred.
