Event
There is a lot of interest in how LLMs will change the future of product management, one big area will be in streamlining information organization & synthesis. This session will share our research on automated widgets that streamline common product management workflows while giving PMs agency & control over the input & output.
Niloufar will share our research results from testing 4 widgets: user insights, pain point tracker, competitive analysis, & translating PRDs to Jira tickets. The session will conclude by discussing how the use of these information synthesis tools can change the nature of product management as well as some of the challenges ahead.
Bio
Niloufar Salehi is an assistant professor in the School of Information at UC, Berkeley. She studies human-computer interaction, with her research spanning education to healthcare to restorative justice. Her research interests are social computing, human-centered AI, & more broadly, human-computer interaction (HCI). Her work has been published & received awards in premier venues including ACM CHI, CSCW, & EMNLP & has been covered in Venture Beat, Wired, & the Guardian. She is a W. T. Grant Foundation scholar for her work on promoting equity in student assignment algorithms & is a member of the advisory board on generative AI at NVIDIA. She received her PhD in computer science from Stanford University in 2018.
