EVENT DETAILS
We believe in the American Renaissance: Build Here & Build Now!

Meet ambitious leaders & professionals who moved to America to chase dreams, build companies, & create jobs.

We also encourage international students to register for a chance to network with immigrant founders & creators to seek guidance on how to navigate immigration. Preference would be given to those who are actively building companies, creating content, or have already obtained job offers.

The event will begin with a panel featuring: Ankur Nagpal: First-generation immigrant, Ankur Nagpal, at the age of 31, sold his course platform, Teachable, for $250 million in 2020. Before launching Teachable he earned millions by developing Facebook applications.

Currently, he's working on Carry, a platform designed to assist business owners & solopreneurs save money on taxes through solo 401ks & personalized advice.

Ali Debow: Ali is a Gen-Z entrepreneur connecting the world. Born & raised in Hong Kong with a Canadian background, she is passionate about being the entrepreneurial cross-cultural bridge between Chinese & Western business.

Ali is the Co-Founder of Swsh, a social app aimed at strengthening true friendships & designed to provide an effortless & enjoyable way to maintain relationships beyond mere follower counts on social media. Her startup recently secured $1.7 million in pre-seed funding.

More names will be added to the panel soon to showcase a diverse array of immigrant founder journies.

The event will feature virtual keynotes from: Sriram Krishnan: First-generation immigrant, Sriram Krishnan is a GP at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. He previously led product teams at Microsoft, Twitter, Yahoo!, Facebook, & Snap. Aarthi Ramamurthy: Aarthi Ramamurthy serves as Chief Technology & Product Officer at Rithum, an influential & trusted commerce network. She has built products that billions of people use every day at Microsoft, Meta, & Netflix. She is an active angel investor supporting early-stage technology startups. Aarthi is a first-generation immigrant.

Saagar Enjeti: Saagar Enjeti is the host of YouTube's most-watched political news show, Breaking Points. Saagar was previously a White House Correspondent & has interviewed politicians, a sitting US president, & has also been interviewed by Joe Rogan. Saagar is a second-generation immigrant.

This event will end with a mixer where panelists, founders, & creators will network with each other & meet international students. Foreign students who aspire to build companies & establish their presence often have to jump over logistical hurdles while dealing with immigration. We will try our best to guide you in the right direction, put you in connection with folks who will write letters of recommendation, connect you to potential employers, or be a bouncing board for your ideas.

This event is organized by Sagnik Basu, an immigrant entrepreneur currently working in news & operating a production agency. Sagnik was born in India & sought education in the United Kingdom. He moved to the USA by himself in 2017 with $300, because why not? He believes in American dynamism & wants to support others who are building in the USA. This event represents the essence of creativity, advancement, & perseverance that propels the United States onward.

This event is organized in partnership with Verci, Swsh, & Compass Visa.
