Tracy Chou is a product-minded engineering leader & exited founder with 15+ years building & scaling consumer & enterprise products. She is best known for her work advocating for diversity & inclusion in tech, & being founder & CEO of Block Party, a platform for online safety, privacy, & anti-harassment (acquired by DeleteMe). She was an early engineer at Pinterest, Quora, & the US Digital Service.
For her advocacy & activism work, Tracy has appeared on the covers of The Atlantic, WIRED, & MIT Technology Review, & been honored as one of TIME's Women of the Year.
Tracy graduated from Stanford with an M.S. in Computer Science & a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, where she was a Terman Scholar & Mayfield Fellow & elected to Phi Beta Kappa & Tau Beta Pi.
Throughout her career, Chou has been recognized as a leading voice on diversity & inclusion issues in technology, culminating in her selection as one of Time magazine's 12 Women of the Year in 2022.
