Understanding and defining AI: from Technology to Strategy
AI By the Bay is a technical conference defining AI in the context of startups and enterprises. We start with a rigorous introduction to AI by the hands-on industry leaders, live-coding the major open-source AI implementations to highlight the key algorithms, data pipelines, and application context. We dig deep into autonomous transportation as an industry deploying Deep Learning at scale and transforming most rapidly. We end with a groundbreaking day of AI strategy defined by the full-stack AI leaders who both build AI and define its strategy and future.
AI By The Bay is brought to you by the organizers of Data By the Bay 2017, 2016, Scal By the Bay 20132016 and Text By the Bay 2015 conferences.
The hallmark of the By the Bay events is their absolute NoBS character:
there is no sponsored talks
all talks are accepted on technical merit
the bar is very high there are many rejections
Now, having reached a critical mass with four years of major conferences, and more than 600 resulting videos on our FunctionalTV channel, we believe we can produce high-level conferences which will be as good as any other, but different in one key way. Our full-stack speakers and panelists are those developers, data scientists, and entrerepneurs who built companies from scratch, who pushed the envelope of technology, and have risen to a vantage point where they see the future. But in addition to being able to reason about it, they are building it, and they know how it will be built. It is the high level view from those who can go down to the metal and high into the sky. By those who can talk the talk and walk the walk.
