Estimating the performance of an application is often an empirical process based on load tests & the search for algorithmic or configuration optimizations. To help in this process, there are universal rules, derived from the theory of queues, which allow us to better model systems & predict their performance even without being able to test them completely.
In this session, I will present to you the main applicable laws in particular the law of scaling up of universal load of Gunther & how, without going into the mathematical details, it is possible to apply them on concrete problems of modeling of application performance & load estimation.
