"Enriching the Dazzling Minds of Tomorrow"
You are cordially invited to a casual - yet - black tie event

On December 8th, Lauren Arce, in association with Pacific Hackers, I will be hosting an EOY Gala from 6-9:30pm on the 18th floor of a private sky lounge in Oakland offering breathtaking panoramic views of San Francisco & Lake Merritt Oakland.

I am inviting you to dust off your prom attire or bring THAT' outfit. Whatever that may be....

You know the one, it's been living in the back of your closet just hoping to be worn at some swanky affair. Look like A prince or the artist formally known AS Prince... Slap on those ruffles, shoulder pads, your grandpa's suit or your mom's prom dress with the shoulder pads. This event is for us!

I may not be that swanky affair of your dreams, but I hope you come in your most luxurious, silky, shiny, sparkly, puffy, beaded, & charming attire that makes you feel like a million bucks!

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Tech Bridge Girls (TBG).
TBG is an organization providing equitable STEM learning to BIPOC girls* & educators. TBG envisions equitable STEM learning experiences that celebrate, advocate for & center Black, Indigenous, & all girls* of color to thrive in the Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) revolution.

Women are underrepresented in STEM, but minority women represent the largest minority in STEM fields. TBG is an organization helping close the STEM gap for girls.

Did you know...

Women represented 45% of students majoring in STEM fields in 2020, up from 40% in 2010! But our work isn't done...Only 1-10 STEM professionals is a minority woman.

Nationwide, 3/4 of both African-American & Hispanic students, compared to one-third of white students, attend high-poverty schools, thus they are less likely to have access to quality education.
80% of students say their STEM career knowledge increased because of their afterschool experience.
78% of students said they had a more positive attitude about STEM because of their afterschool experience.
Techbridge Girls re-engineers the way BIPOC girls* from marginalized communities experience STEM by catalyzing out-of-school time (OST) STEM educators & STEM professionals into equity educators & advocates through training & curricula that promote access, belonging & persistence.
