Binary Trees! If you're interviewing for an engineering role, you've probably been asked to solve questions based on them & they can be tricky. Many boot campers, career switchers, & self-taught engineers have felt unsure when facing off against this data structure in role pre-screening, in remote timed code challenges, & in on-site interviews, Write/Speak/Code, PyLadies, & SeatGeek are here to help.

In this language agnostic beginner friendly workshop, well teach you some binary tree basics & then you'll get practical experience working through some common algorithm challenges with mentor support. You'll leave with the foundation you need to tackle binary trees in your next interview.

* Our community is open to & our content is designed for people whose gender or gender history is marginalized within tech. We define those gender groups as:

All women technologists (trans, non-binary, & cis)
All trans technologists (trans women, trans men, & trans non-binary folks)
All non-binary technologists (including GNC, gender-fluid, genderqueer, agender folks, etc)

We want to equip people from these groups to overcome both the internal & external effects of that marginalization by identifying, expanding, & sharing their expertise with the support of an engaged peer network.

Our code of conduct is here http://www.writespeakcode.com/about/code-of-conduct/

To be an inclusive environment we ask that all attendees use gender neutral language, introduce themselves with their pronouns, & respect others' pronouns (intro to pronouns PDF (http://bit.ly/2zMR8F8)
