For November's StoryCode NYC Forum we are excited to present a behind the scenes look at a very interesting storytelling technology challenge with Adam Quinn.
Reply All, a show about the internet, produced a call-in show in which the two hosts took non-stop calls to both of their cell phones, day & night for 48 hours. The show received over 100,000 calls in those 48 hours. With the heavy load bugs started to emerge that sent the show down a winding road that some believed to be a social experiment.
Programmer & technologist Adam Quinn talks about what it was like to build the system, & do damage control in real time as the show & the system spiraled out of control, making for some great radio in the end.
