Join us to learn about introductory CS concepts in a friendly & interactive learning environment. We'll be learning about CS through the lens of JavaScript, so you should come with some experience writing JavaScript code.
Topics covered:
What data structures are & why are they important
How memory is allocated & managed in JavaScript
How to measure the efficiency of code (using Big O Notation) & how your code structure can affect the efficiency
Who this workshop is for:
This workshop is for learners with some programming experience, preferably with JavaScript. You should understand JavaScript syntax & fundamental concepts like arrays, objects, loops, & functions. If you are earlier along in your learning journey, you should look for other introductory-level workshops (https://www.hackreactor.com/events) that are better suited for your skillset & study progress.
What to bring:
Students will need to bring their own laptops to participate. Windows, Mac or Linux will suffice.
