About our Guest Investor: Claire Fauquier joined Highland in April 2019 after spending three & a half years at Corigin, a seed fund based in New York, where she sourced & led several deals & worked closely with founders on company boards. She was initially drawn to venture capital because of the opportunity to work so closely with founders & join them on their journey of sculpting the future. Says Claire, What I love most about this role is that I get to spend most of my time with the best & brightest people in the world.
I started at Corigin in 2015 after completing my MBA at Wharton, where I focused on startups, having worked at the London-based startup Ebury for my summer internship. Immediately prior to starting at Wharton, I took a year off to travel, with stops in Europe & Nairobi, Kenya. While in Kenya, I worked with a growth fund called Jacana Partners, actively sourcing deals & working with portfolio companies.
I started my career in Investment Banking with Credit Suisse, both in Toronto & New York. I grew up in Toronto & consider myself a proud Canadian, boring my colleagues with all things Toronto Sports. I live in Brooklyn & love tennis, skiing, art & photography & going to concerts.
