WWCSF is participating in Hacktoberfest by holding a hackathon to promote & work on open-source projects that help empower women in tech. Everyone who would like to work on this effort is welcome. Feel free to bring your own project, or come help on one of the projects were highlighting.

6:30 - 6:45pm: Sign in, grab some snacks & settle in
6:45 - 7:00pm: Introductions & featured open-source projects
7:00 - 8:30pm: Make contributions to open source!

Use our signup sheet if youd like to present a project that shares our mission:

(Note: We'll require your presentation slideshow or image up front)

One open-source project WWCode SF has been partnering with is Techtonica - it provides free tech training & job placement for unemployed or underemployed folks, & its online curriculum is free. Anyone can help by picking up an issue here:

Women Who Code (WWCode) is dedicated to providing an empowering experience for everyone who participates in or supports our community. Our events are intended to inspire women to excel in technology careers, & anyone who is there for this purpose is welcome. Because we value the safety & security of our members & strive to have an inclusive community, we do not tolerate harassment of members or event participants in any form.

Please read & abide by our Code of Conduct (https://github.com/WomenWhoCode/guidelines-resources/blob/master/code_of_conduct.md)
