A robot can learn to fold a shirt. Getting it to fold a shirt it's never seen, in a room it's never entered, is a different problem.
Quan Vuong is working on that problem as a co-founder of Physical Intelligence. The company builds AI models meant to work across different robots & tasks. Its robots have folded laundry, made coffee, & cleaned up kitchens using models trained on data from multiple machines. Before starting Physical Intelligence, Quan worked at Google DeepMind, where he helped bring together data from 22 types of robots to train a shared model.
Quan will be joining us at Fort Mason to talk about what it takes to make robots useful outside the lab, followed by live Q&A.
Spots are extremely limited. You must RSVP & be approved to attend. We'll be checking at the door, & seating is first-come, so arrive early if you want a good spot.
