Since Ledger leaked the name, email, home address & phone # of 270k customers I am questioning their competence. The data was stored unencrypted on their internet connected servers. While I understand that private keys stay on the hardware device, I realize that closed source centralized projects will always have unseen & unknown vulnerabilities. On top of that Ledger wallet users may now also face mounting home invasion & other scareware threats as the hacker also dumped the customers information online. I have been looking into open source alternatives ever since. Bitfi was recommended by my beloved & most skeptical Monero community & I am excited to learn more about it. #Bitfi is a revolutionary piece of hardware that has no storage of any kind. It does not store private keys & it is therefore one step up from cold storage. The device is completely void of any data & acts as private key generator.
