DETAILS

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Storytelling X Data Event:
A live discussion with visualization experts examining the power of visual communication.

This panel discussion brings together experts at the intersection of analytics, design, & mission-driven communication to reveal how data-driven storytelling can do more than inform: it can inspire action, secure funding, & build trust.

Are you leading a climate-focused company or initiative & wondering how to make your data truly resonate?

Climate data can be overwhelming: dense, technical, & hard to connect with emotionally. Our panelists will share how they translate complex datasets into compelling narratives that move stakeholders, attract investment, & galvanize public support.

Whether you're a founder looking to better articulate your impact, a CEO aiming to deepen audience engagement, or a climate professional curious about the role of visual storytelling in today's funding landscape-this session is designed with you in mind.

Speakers:
Jason Marsh: is the founder & CEO of Flow Immersive, building tools that turn data into immersive, interactive experiences. With decades of experience in software & interface design, including early work at Apple, he is redefining how teams engage with data, moving from static dashboards to shared, spatial systems of understanding.

Elizabeth Rosenbloom is an information designer & geospatial specialist building immersive, data-driven, climate-focused experiences at the intersection of GIS, 3D visualization, & storytelling. With a decade of experience across environmental tech & spatial data, including work with Apple & The Nature Conservancy, she focuses on transforming complex systems into clear, actionable insight. As the founder of the School of Information Design, she helps professionals move beyond static maps & dashboards to create interactive, meaningful ways of understanding data.

Brant Rotnem is a narrative strategist & data expert bridging the gap between climate science & high-impact storytelling. As Research Lead at Good Energy, he manages their initiative to support climate & petrochemicals narratives in television procedurals from Law & Order to The Pitt. He recently conducted a mega-analysis of climate messaging in scripted media for Yellow Dot Studios, founded by the Don't Look Up production team. Brant is a multiple-award-winning filmmaker who launched the first micro-drama series on TikTok, & holds degrees in Environmental Politics & Sustainability from UC Berkeley & Harvard.
