EVENT DETAILS
From dog treats to dog toys, BARK, the maker of BarkBox - a monthly subscription service for dogs, launched in NYC in 2012 with little thought as to how popular it was going to be. Today, BARK is leading the pack reaching 600,000 dogs nationwide. With multiple brands under their umbrella - including an ecommerce site, BARK is injecting fun & innovation into the $72 billion pet industry.

Carly Strife, Co-founder of BARK, will share how the sweat equity put in during the early days - such as stuffing boxes at 5am & hustling to scale a non-endemic startup, has resulted in their exponential growth today.

Gain insights into BARK's wins & losses & how they were able to build a successful recurring revenue model with a 90% customer retention. Carly will outline the steps they took from having a single product to building a brand & the fundamentals all founders should consider - including the importance of hiring, training, & culture.

Carly will also share how BARK is using emerging tools like machine learning & AWS Comprehend to better understand both their canine & human customers.
