Dr. Liz Valadez-Workday

Dr. Liz Valadez is the Chief of Staff & Sr. Director of Business Operations for Product Development & QA at Workday, where she supports the Senior VP of Product Development & QA. With over 25 years of leadership experience in technology program management, Liz has driven cross-organizational improvements in customer interactions & employee productivity.
She co-founded Unidos, Workday's Latinx Employee Belonging Council (ERG), & launched the Women of Color chapter. Liz is also Executive VP of the Silicon Valley Prospanica chapter, empowering Hispanic professionals, & recently joined ALPFA San Francisco as Director of Professional Development.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys sports, especially the Golden State Warriors, & spending time with her family, including her two children & two granddaughters. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership & is passionate about advancing Latinx professionals in tech.
Pati Carrera, MPA, SPHR-Kaiser Permanente
Director of Training, Design & Delivery National Pharmacy
Former National Program Leader with Kaiser Permanente for the Office of Equity, Inclusion & Diversity
Pati Carrera is the president-elect for the Northern California chapter of NALHE (National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives). She is the national director for Kaiser Permanente national pharmacy training & development. She is a former national program leader with Kaiser Permanente for the Office of Equity, Inclusion & Diversity. She led a national inclusion & belonging program for physicians, leaders & employees with over 150K participants. She has worked in the field of training & development & DEI for over 25 years. Pati is a certified master trainer, facilitator & coach for leadership programs. She enjoys supporting senior leadership & management in their efforts to create high performing teams through coaching, consulting & strategic planning.
Pati actively demonstrates integrity, goodwill & trust among her team members & clients. She brings kindness, thoughtfulness, humor, fun, & intellectual engagement to her work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, hiking & kayaking, she loves to travel & spending time with family & friends.
Dr. Agustn Cervantes-Chabot-Las Positas Community College District
Executive Director of the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative
Dr. Agustn Cervantes is the Executive Director of the Bay Area K-16 Collaborative, where he leads the implementation & strategic planning of the K-16 Education Collaboratives Grant Program, aimed at strengthening education-to-workforce pathways & addressing inequalities in education & employment. He is an administrator with the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.
Previously, Dr. Cervantes was Director of Student Services at Cal State LA's College of Education, managing outreach, advisement, & credentialing operations. He has also taught at East Los Angeles College & co-founded Teen Startup Academy, a business incubator for youth.
Dr. Cervantes' career includes roles at Stanford University, The National Hispanic University, & Laureate Global Products & Services. He holds two bachelor's degrees & a master's in education from Stanford, as well as a Doctor of Education from UCLA. His research interests include competency-based learning, social capital, & teacher recruitment & retention.
