On July 20th as LadyDrinks turns seven years old, & we are celebrating with Empower Cocktails. I couldn't think of anything more 'on-brand' with the LadyDrinks mission statement.
I recentlyhad the opportunity to listen to Tiffany Hall, Senior Counsel at MasterCard, speak. In a previous avatar, when sheworked withPernod Ricard, she was surprisedhow most liquor brands were targeted their products toward men.
Women were an afterthought, she says.
She decided to invest $30,000 of her own savings into a cocktail made for WOMEN. She worked with a sweet potato farmer in Northern California & a professional flavor house to create the recipe. Today, 'The Empower Cosmopolitan Martini' features Tiffany's specially manufactured sweet potato vodka with triple sec, white cranberry & lime.
I, myself, have switched entirely to drinking tequila to avoid the sugar found in wine & most cocktails. I was pleased to learn that hercocktailisgluten-free & 80 calories per 3 oz.
