Autotech Council's Spotlight Series, hosted by Avanta Ventures, features a handful of interesting startups working in a single industry segment followed by an interactive conversation on the topic led by a few member experts.
The automotive industry has always been under the spotlight when it comes to pollution. This scrutiny is one of the reasons carmakers & their tier 1 vendors are relatively aggressive in their measures to reduce pollution & now Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in their own factories & production processes. But a more comprehensive look at ALL the GHG emissions from a car requires not just the GHG emitted by driving the car, but the sum of all the GHGs from the production & logistics of that car up & down its supply chain - the so-called Scope 3 Emissions.
In this 90-minute, virtual meeting, we look at sustainable procurement GHG transparency all along the supply chain. We'll discover startup technology that can measure, account & reduce of all the GHG from a car's production so carmakers & their T1 vendors can meet regulatory requirements & seek competitive advantages in the marketplace. This meeting starts with technology pitches across measurement, lowering GHG, logistics, digital twin experimentation, & more, & ends with a roundtable discussion among the startups, members, & attendees who have questions & insight around making the auto industry more sustainable.
Autotech Council's Spotlight Series, brought to you by Avanta Ventures, is a series of virtual meetings that introduce startups & ideas at the cutting edge of mobility & include an interactive discussion among speakers, members, & attendees. This month, startups are working in the Sustainable Procurement segment.
