TOPIC:Sam's Club Product Lead on Product Meets Culture
Product management has become a function in most organizations, even the more traditional ones, & as a result, companies that traditionally haven't had product managers are hiring them. But it can be challenging to build a product culture in organizations that have aren't familiar with product management. How do product managers drive results in situations where product isn't the company's core competency? Sam's Club (part of Walmart E-Commerce) Product Lead Sharon Su Plasser will talk about how product defines company culture - sharing her experiences about what it's like to lead product teams when there's more at stake than simply building products.

About the Speaker:Sharon Su Plasser is a Director of Product at Sam's Club (part of Walmart E-Commerce) - leading the product team focused on retail operations & reverse logistics. Prior to joining Sam's Club, she led product management & business operations teams at Yahoo. In addition, Sharon has also held leadership positions at Goldman Sachs & Meebo. Sharon holds a degree from Skidmore College & currently lives in San Francisco.
