We're excited to announce the first everAdjacentConference, hosted by ITP & IMA's online journal of the same name.We invite you to join us as we discuss the theme of BODIES & BORDERS.This will be the first time an entire issue ofAdjacentwill center on a theme, & we're excited to discuss it in greater depth with well-versed artists & writers from the ITP/IMA community & beyond.Adjacent's mission has always been to share research, reflection, observations & opinions from & for the diverse creators at the frontiers of media & technology. Now more than ever, it is crucial to examine what these new advances reveal about our selves & society, & to acknowledge that creators no matter their medium are connected to each other, to society, to the world.We are pleased to announce the addition ofSharon de la Cruz,Lee-Sean Huang(AdjacentIssue 4),Shelley HuandMarina Zurkow(Issue 2) to our conference lineup. They will joinMattia Casalegno(Issue 3),Ziyu He(Issue 4),Lisa Jamhoury(Issue 4),Matt Romein,Mimi Yin(Issue 2), andJenna Xuin discussing political identity, control in performance, art activism & more.Attendance is free for all NYU students with valid ID, & requires a $10 deposit from all other attendees. (Your deposit will be refunded to you at the door upon check in, less processing fees).
