The VueJS NYC community presents their first ever technical & advocacy event! It's free.
Lawyer & underrepresented community activist Claire Cochran will guide you through navigating uncomfortable situations at work, knowing your rights & how employment law works for you. She'll share tips for speaking out effectively as a member of a marginalized group, as well as tales from the crypt & success stories alike, while providing industry trends & resources. These skills can come in handy not just when defending yourself in unjust environments, but also in negotiating for opportunities at work.
We'll follow her talk with a lightning talk about mental/physical health specific to working in tech, & of course a VueJS closing talk. :) Hope to see you there!
