Come join us for our Spring 2024 Maptime Bay Area event as we (continue) to bring back Maptime on a quarterly basis!
This event will feature 2 speakers:
1: "Open Source Mapmaking with Protomaps" - Brandon Liu (Protomaps)
Brandon is the creator & lead developer of the Protomaps open source project. He'll present about the PMTiles open format, the history of FOSS map tech & business models, & the road ahead to finally making custom interactive mapmaking available to everyone.
2: "Accessibility in web maps" - Dan Rademacher (GreenInfo Network)
GreenInfo Network will share their continuing efforts to support accessibility needs & requirements in the web mapping space. This grows out of a panel & training we did in fall 2023 at the North American Cartographic Information Society conference, followed by a focused all-staff sprint in January 2024 to build our skills. We're not experts yet, but we want to share as we learn!
Capacity is very limited for this event so please only RSVP if you plan on attending & please update your RSVP if you are unable to make it - we want to make sure we can accommodate everyone - thank you!
