Dotdash is among the oldest continuously operating digital publishers. In its previous incarnation as About.com, the company employed legions of experts on topics as varied as saving for retirement, diabetes & the Middle East. Later, under the ownership of IAC, it rebranded as Dotdash & structured all of its content around seven special interest brands: Verywell, The Spruce, The Balance, Investopedia, Lifewire, TripSavvy & ThoughtCo.

In order to support the quality releases of multiple brands in an agile manner, Dotdash developed a WebDriver based automation framework for running regression tests which was internally named Venus. Venus facilitates the execution of 3500+ regression tests in parallel on AWS infrastructure. Venus combines the industry standard WebDriver 3.0 capabilities & a lot of custom capabilities building on top of open source libraries such as BrowserMob, aShot etc. In this session Dotdash will present their visual comparison tool which helps find issues which are difficult to uncover by traditional AFTs & are easily missed during manual review.
