The speaker for our next meetup on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 will be Michael Cubeddu from Aliro Quantum.

Title : First-Generation Quantum Networks: From Single Photons to Multi-Tenant Applications
Abstract:
First-generation quantum repeater networks can support a variety of use cases ranging from cryptography to computing to sensing. This talk will give an overview of quantum communication theory, experimental quantum networks, & the different layers of a quantum network stack. This talk will also present the software products & services offered by Aliro Quantum.
Bio: Michael is the Co-Founder & VP of R&D at Aliro Quantum, a quantum networking company spun out of Harvard University in 2019. At Aliro, he focuses on research, IP, & customer & partner relations. Michael is a published author in quantum research, & a co-inventor of several patents in quantum computing software, error correction, & quantum network protocols. He is actively involved in the Quantum Economic Development Consortium & serves as the liaison between the QED-C & the ITU-T for quantum key distribution standards development.
