AI is no longer simply helping people complete tasks. Increasingly, AI agents can plan, coordinate, recommend decisions & act across entire workflows. As organizations redesign work around these systems, a deeper question emerges:
What should human agency look like at work?
Join Zhennovate during SF Tech Week 2026 for a participatory Human Agency Field Lab exploring how AI is reshaping professional contribution, human judgment, decision rights & accountability.
This is not another panel predicting which jobs AI will replace. Bring one real, nonconfidential moment in which AI is changing your work: a decision you are expected to approve but cannot fully explain, a task through which people once developed expertise, a workflow without clear override rights, or a role changing faster than its expectations.
Through guided reflection, cross-company peer consultation & collaborative experimentation, we will explore:
What should AI execute? And what should humans remain responsible for?
Where must human judgment remain visible?
Who has authority to decide, question, override or stop an AI system?
How can organizations gain efficiency without weakening expertise, learning or human connection?
What conditions allow people to meaningfully participate in redesigning their work?
Participants will leave with a clearer map of one AI-reshaped work challenge, a practical human-AI judgment protocol & a bounded experiment they can begin testing within 30 days.
Come independently with your own case, or attend with a cross-functional colleague. The lab is designed for technologists, product & engineering leaders, managers, founders, workforce & transformation leaders, responsible-AI practitioners, researchers & others shaping how humans & AI will work together.
The event is hosted by Zhennovate as part of its Human Agency & Work Reinvention Initiative, which brings people & organizations together to redesign work with employees, rather than merely for them, so AI transformation can strengthen human agency, judgment, meaningful contribution & organizational performance.
Bring one AI-changed decision. Leave with a more intentional design for human agency.
This event is a part of #SFTechWeek-a week of events hosted by VCs & startups to bring together the tech ecosystem. Learn more at www.tech-week.com.
