We are happy to announce our October 2018 event: Exploring Behavioral Design Solutions with ideas42.
ideas42 believes that a deep understanding of human behavior will help improve millions of lives. ideas42 creates innovative solutions encompassing health, education, consumer finance, safety & justice, environmental sustainability & ending poverty & inequality. It is a non-profit organization with more than 100 active projects around the world, working closely with partners from government, foundations, NGOs & corporations.
Several teams from ideas42, focusing on U.S. domestic health, financial inclusion, & the New York City Behavioral Design Team, will share some of their behaviorally-informed interventions & results, & learnings about the behavioral design process.

Speaker bios:
Manasee Desai is a Vice President at ideas42 where she leads a portfolio of projects focused on the behavioral design & rapid iterative testing of various digital financial solutions in countries across South Asia & Sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, Manasee spent over 10 years researching financial services & other international development topics, with a number of academics & global partners. Manasee holds an MPA from NYUs Wagner School of Public Service, where she focused on international policy in urban contexts, & a BA from Boston University in Political Science with minors in Economics & Biology.
Owen Footer is a Senior Associate at ideas42. He holds an MA in Psychology from Columbia University, where he researched social influences on stress & decision-making as well as how emotional & cognitive processes interact in the brain during decision-making. Prior to graduate school, Owen conducted research on human brain connectivity, & its relations to personality & behavior, as a research assistant for the Human Connectome Project. He also graduated with a BA in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology & Art History from Washington University in St. Louis.
Jaclyn Lefkowitz is a Senior Associate at ideas42 currently working on projects applying behavioral theory to domestic health, consumer finance, & labor economics. Prior to joining ideas42, Jaclyn served as a Research Assistant in both the Department of Psychology & the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. Her research focused on topics such as Hispanic bilingual advertising & consumer behavior in the food service industry. Jaclyn holds a BA in Psychology & Spanish from Cornell University.
Rachel Rosenberg is a Senior Associate at ideas42. Prior to joining the team, Rachel worked as a monitoring & evaluation consultant in international development, where she evaluated the outcomes of a US State Department Law Enforcement Training Center serving West Africa. Rachel holds her MA in Development Economics from the Fletcher School at Tufts University & her BA in International Relations & Economics from Stanford University.
