Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is the most divisive & debated term in the Product world. Every day thousands of Product team members are frustrated by the fact that their colleagues, stakeholders, & customers have vastly different interpretations of what an MVP is.
Does an MVP have to be a Product (which is what the "P" stands for)? Or can anything you learn from, such as a landing page, be an MVP?
You know the situation is bad when people have decided to create their own term to use instead such as Minimum Lovable Product (MLP), Minimum Sellable Product (MSP), & Minimum Marketable Feature (MMF). Some people have given up any hope of trying to reach alignment & have just decided to stop using the term MVP all together.
In his talk, Product trainer & author Dan Olsen will share his advice on MVPs & how to use them. He will provide a framework to help untangle the different interpretations of MVP that people have & why this occurs. He will describe the various categories & types of MVPs that you can use. And he will share the top mistakes that Product teams makes with MVPs & how to avoid them.
