Women Who Code NYC is proud to announce Data Science Pathways, a lineup of four impressive women in Data Science who will talk about their pathways within the Data Science team at Medidata. You will have the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day in a Data Science team, as well as about the varied educational backgrounds & experiences that help them in their roles. Come join us on 19th July at Medidata; we hope to see you at this Data Science-themed evening!

About the speakers:
PJ Allen is a Senior Data Scientist at Medidata based out of New York, NY. She joined Medidata 4 years ago while completing her Master's in Data Science at New York University. While at Medidata, PJ has worked on a number of different data science problems using natural language processing & machine learning to improve decision making in clinical trials.

Jingshu Liu is a Lead Data Scientist at Medidata in NYC, having joined the company 4 years ago. She specializes in statistical learning & machine learning, & has worked with data from various sources including mobile health devices, genetic tests & clinical records. Shes completing her Masters Degree in Data Science at NYU. Prior to joining Medidata, Jingshu earned a Masters Degree in Finance from MIT, & worked at AIG Science team for 2 years.

Anuja Kelkar is a Senior Data Science Engineer on the Data Science Team at Medidata. She has a Bachelor's in Software Engineering & a Master's in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where she specialized in signal processing & machine learning. Prior to pursuing MS at Carnegie Mellon University, she worked as an application developer at ThoughtWorks, for a year. She has been working at Medidata for 2.5 years & enjoys her role.

Ana Oromendia is the Genomics Business Analytics Manager at Medidata Solutions, with over 10 years of experience in genomics & scientific software development. Ana received her PhD in molecular genetics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she was part of the interdisciplinary Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research.
