Join us for an evening of demos celebrating software as a creative medium: apps made for a friend, a group chat, a joke, or a single event.
AI made software cheap enough to be personal. So what happens when an app stops being a product & starts becoming content? When it's made for someone, remixed by someone else, & passed along like a meme?
Welcoming designers, engineers, artists, vibe coders, meme-makers, & anyone in between!
Want to demo? We're looking for:
Software that defies what people think software is
Tiny games, tests, toys, & social experiments
Apps made for one person or one friend group
Remixes, riffs, & forks of other people's software, made for you
Software that changes shape depending on who it's for
It doesn't need to be useful (no boring productivity apps ), polished, or a startup. No pitch decks & no pitches. Just working things & weird ideas.
Schedule
5:30pm - mingling + food
6:15pm - welcome
6:30pm - demos
7:30pm - hang out, swap builds, remix, riff / diff each other's stuff
Organizers
Differ is building infrastructure for adaptive software - software that evolves & adapts as users interact with it.
