Schedule:

6:30pm Doors open, food, networking

7:00pm - Mike Ottavi-Brannon - Whats your Product North Star metric?

As product managers, you understand that building great products is hard, & the bar for successful products is only rising. With consumers having almost limitless choices at their disposal, the only way to succeed is by delivering the best customer experience through rapidly innovating & responding to their needs.

Product-led companies are winning in this digital era by rallying their teams around a product North Star - the metric that connects the business outcomes they are trying to deliver to the work they do each day.

In this talk, we'll share a practical framework for how to use business objectives & engagement models to determine your product's North Star. Youll learn how the best digital product teams use a narrow set of meaningful metrics to align product strategy with on-the-ground team initiatives.

7:20pm - Jennifer Skene - Move fast but dont break anything: What startups & enterprise innovation labs can learn from each other

Startups excel at moving fast to develop new products. Enterprise companies want in on the action, so they create in-house innovation labs. These two types of organizations differ greatly in their resources, constraints, stakeholders, & goals. What can scrappy startups & corporate innovation labs learn from each other?

Jen will share stories from startup trenches & enterprise ventures. She will also review recent research on innovation & disruption. Youll come away with tactics that product managers can use in any setting.

7:45 - 8:30pm - more hanging out & chatting with nice humans.
