Tech Talk 1: Your AI Pair Programmer Hates Your Tech Debt Too
Speaker: Shagun Bhatia, Atlassian
Abstract: Tech debt is a problem every engineering team knows is real, but rarely has the time or clarity to tackle systematically. It compounds silently - slowing down feature work, increasing bug rates, & making onboarding painful - until it's too expensive to ignore. In this talk, I'll walk through how we built an AI-assisted tech debt workflow at Atlassian that goes far beyond static analysis.
Tech Talk 2: It's Not the Model. It's What You Fed It.
Speaker: Zayne Turner, Workato
Abstract: When your AI agent fails, the instinct is to blame the model: try a different one, adjust the prompt, add more context. But most agent failures aren't model problems. They're design problems. This talk looks at what happens inside an agent at runtime, why naive tool design compounds failure, & three principles for improving agent performance - drawn from an open-source hotel operations system built to demonstrate the patterns at production scale.
Tech Talk 3: AI Wants to Be Local: Beating the Cloud on 30MB of RAM
Speaker: Pete Warden, Moonshine AI
Abstract: Today many people assume that cutting-edge AI requires massive data centers. But if you've ever used a voice interface that takes two full seconds to respond, you know the cloud is failing the user experience. In this talk, you'll learn how rethinking transformer architectures with variable input windows & incremental streaming cache can drop latency to near-instantaneous levels & shrink RAM footprints down to less than 30MB. Discover why the future of AI isn't in the cloud, but right on your device, completely private & offline.
Who Should attend:
Anyone interested in talking & learning about developing Agentic AI Apps.
