Hosted at Cooper Perkins' SOMA office, & sponsored by Xilinx, this event is your opportunity to network with a dynamic community of hardware professionals, investors, product engineers, service providers, & professional societies. Come learn about navigating the stages of building a hardware company from industry experts in an informal setting.

Scott has been fascinated with hardware since he was old enough to hold a screwdriver. He worked on a robotic tuna fish at MIT, life-size robotic dinosaurs for Disney Imagineering, & robotic baby dolls with Hasbro prior to joining iRobot where he was responsible for leading the Roomba team to scale the functional prototype to high volume product of the first 3 million units.
Since founding Dragon Innovation, Scott has enjoyed working with hundreds of companies to provide expertise from DFM to factory selection through project management & sustaining engineering.
Scott received his Bachelor's from Dartmouth & Master's from MIT.

Chrissy Meyer,Partner,Root Ventures
Chrissy Meyer has spent the past decade taking hardware products from early concept through high-volume production.After getting her MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, she led several projects at Apple & Square.She was also a founding team member at Pearl Automation, a vehicle technology startup. She has developed products that have shipped tens of millions of units, & she has spent over a year on the ground in Asia working closely with manufacturers & suppliers.Chrissy recently joined Root Ventures, a seed-stage hard tech venture capital firm, as a partner.At Root, she invests in deeply technical teams that are solving problems in robotics, hardware, industrial automation, AI, & machine learning.Outside of work, Chrissy is a sleep-deprived mother to a sixteen-month old daughter.
