As AI systems grow increasingly sophisticated, we will find ourselves standing at the precipice of one of philosophy's most profound questions: What happens when AI becomes smarter & more capable than most humans?
Join us in exploring the enigmatic boundaries between algorithmic intelligence & human consciousness. Is machine consciousness an emergent property of complex information systems, or does it require something more fundamental beyond compute, code, & data?
We will discuss the implications of a truly conscious AI: How will superintelligent AI impact human society? What is it capable of doing? Can it experience happiness, love, & suffering? Can it have compassion for us? Is it ethical to terminate an algorithmic process that appears to be fully sentient? And will it terminate us?
