4 part workshop hosted by Healing Healthtech on "How to Raise Your First Priced Round."
Raising your first priced round is a completely different undertaking than stacking safe notes. I want to help you skip the avoidable mistakes.
The diligence is deeper, the relevant terms are completely different, and the stakes for getting it wrong are much higher as priced round investors will almost always take board seats and protective provisions.
I've taught founders how to navigate a priced round for years and on October 27th in NYC will be conducting a public bootcamp / workshop with the highest impact aspects. Location will be the beautiful Gunderson Dettmer NYC offices above Flatiron. Generously sponsored by Jose Rivera and Tonna Obaze of Gunderson Dettmer, Kelly Caviglia of Mercury, and Paul Brezovsky III of Qapita.
Session 1: Taught by Ramesh Karra and Paul Brezovsky III's team at Qapita will focus on Data Room. What goes in, what doesn't, what investors are looking for, and how not get get tripped up.
Session 2: Taught by Jose Rivera of Gunderson Dettmer will focus on the term sheet negotiation. What terms matter and which don't. How to affect outcomes that are durable and beneficial for your business.
Session 3: Taught by me will focused on how to find, pitch, and close priced round investors.
Session 4: Will be a panel discussion and fireside chat with 3 partners at NYC VC firms. I've purposely chosen folks who represent software and hardware investors as well as funds that operate outside of healthcare.
