The UX Lab has partnered up with General Assembly to bring you the hottest panel the tech world has to offer this Summer! We're bringing in designers from all across NYC and a variety of different industries, all focused on seamless technology. Here are our featured panelists, with Shannon Copfer moderating the bunch.
Jeroen "JW" Wijering -Chief Digital Architect
Jeroen is the creator of the incredibly successful JW Media Players, which have generated several million downloads since their launch in 2005. In addition, Jeroen has developed several other projects including Sync.nl, an online magazine for entrepreneurs and professionals, as well as a media-hosting service called Bits on the Run. Jeroen graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven, with honors.
Daniel Klainbaum - Senior Experience Designer
For Dan theres always been a fascination with understanding and bridging thecommunication gap between people and technology. As an experience designerhe creates interfaces that make those interactions simple, easy and enjoyable.Before joining Moment, Dan worked in Disney Parks and Resorts Imagineeringdepartment designing and developing interactive attractions. His interest fordesigning interfaces began in his first job as a software developer for the video-conferencing industry, after which he received his M.S in Digital Media from TheGeorgia Institute of Technology.
David Antunes -Visual Design Lead
David began working at Applico in the fall of 2012, when his exceptional ability to translate ideas into visual design through a variety of media and his aggressive finger-wagging abilities led to him joining the Applico team full time.He is fastidious in the quality of his work and is constantly looking for new ways to improve his designs to create more intuitive experiences.David is a designer through-and-through, but when he isnt creating user-centered experiences hes usually bobbing to a wide variety of tunes or holding down the Applico mini-basketball court.
Will McLeod -Mechanical Engineer/Product Designer
At Keen Home, Will leads the companys mechanical engineering and product design efforts. Will also drives the companys IP and grant strategy as well as overall technical vision.Will has studied entrepreneurship, and optics to supplement his M.S., B.S. and B.A. degrees from the University of Notre Dame. He has been successful in winning more than a dozen business plan competitions, federal and local grants, and other fundraising efforts that have totaled more than $1.5 million in funding. Will has also served as the Principal Investigator on 3 grants.
