Ronald Weissman - Member, Board of Directors, Angel Capital Association; Chairman, Sofware Industry Group, Band of AngelsDr. Ronald Weissman has been a VC & Angel investor for more than twenty years. He chairs the Software Group for the Band of Angels, Silicon Valley's oldest angel group & is on the Board of Directors of the Angel Capital Association. He was a partner for seventeen years at global PE / VC firm Apax Global, focusing on US & cross-border technology investing. He has invested in or advised 70+ companies & has served on 30+ Boards of Directors. He was a senior executive at Verity (enterprise search) when the company won large cap turnaround of the year (1999) & at NeXT, reporting to Steve Jobs. He has lectured about venture & angel capital at Stanford, Berkeley, the American University of Armenia, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology & the University of Santa Clara & has worked to promote private capital-funded innovation ecosystems in Hong Kong, Armenia, Ukraine, Chile, Australia, Israel, New Zealand & the US White House. He was one of three US angels profiled in The American Angel (2017). His investment focus is on artificial intelligence & analytics.
