Hello Action Designers! This month we will be working with our partner, the all-new Behavioral Scientist. The Behavioral Scientist is a non-profit online magazine offering readers original, thought-provoking reports from the front lines of behavioral science. This month we welcome a group of Behavioral Scientist columnists & expert practitioners from fields as diverse as behavioral finance, marketing, & academia for a lively panel discussion. Questions from Action Designers -- submitted before or during the event -- are welcomed!
The panel will be moderated by Evan Nesterak, Editor-in-Chief of the Behavioral Scientist. Special thanks to Alpha for providing their office.

THE PANELISTS:
Zoe Chance is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Yale School of Management, where she studies & teaches persuasion, focussing on tiny tweaks that help people lead richer, healthier, happier lives. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, & The Economist, & her research findings have been published in top academic journals like Proceedings of the National Academy of Science & in popular media like Harvard Business Review. Her diverse experience includes managing a $200 million segment of Barbie, developing an executive education leadership program at Harvard, acting on stage & film, & starting a small business. Shes currently writing a book to help people apply behavioral economics insights to interpersonal influence.
Erik Johnson is the Marketing Optimization Manager on Morningstars Behavioral Insights Team, where he applies behavioral science principles & experimentation to marketing processes & communications. He previously held roles at ideas42 & IBM & co-created ProductPsychology.com. He is a board member of the Action Design Network, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization promoting the use of behavioral economics & psychology in policy, business, & product design. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University.
Daniel Egan is the Director of Behavioral Finance & Investing at Betterment, where he integrates behavioral finance & passive investment management to help customers achieve their goals. For the six years prior to joining Betterment, he was a behavioral finance specialist at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management for the Americas. Dan earned an M.Sc. in decision science from the London School of Economics.
