What's Wordware Hack Night?
An evening dedicated to solving one of AI's most interesting UX challenges: making autonomous AI agents accessible to everyone.
OpenClaw is an open-source, self-hosted AI agent runtime that lets LLMs take real-world actions-managing files, automating browsers, sending emails, executing shell commands. It's a 24/7 personal assistant that actually does things. The problem? Right now it lives in terminals & chat apps. We're going to change that.
When: February 19, 2026 | 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM PT
Where: Wordware Beach House, 1185 Old Mason Street, San Francisco
Challenge: Hack on OpenClaw & build interfaces that make OpenClaw even better
The Challenge
OpenClaw (formerly Clawdbot/Moltbot) is powerful. It connects to Claude, GPT, local models-whatever you want-and lets them take autonomous, proactive actions in the real world. But right now, interacting with it means Telegram, Discord, or a terminal.
Your mission: Build an interface that makes OpenClaw accessible, intuitive, & effective for people who've never touched a command line. Think dashboards. Think mobile apps. Think interfaces that make autonomous AI agents feel approachable instead of intimidating.
This isn't about building a chatbot wrapper. It's about rethinking how humans interact with AI that can actually do things on their behalf.
Here's How It Works
4:00 PM - Doors Open Arrive, grab food, meet other builders. Settle in & get your environment ready.
4:30 PM - Kickoff & OpenClaw Deep Dive We'll walk through OpenClaw's architecture, API endpoints, & capabilities. You'll understand exactly what you're building for.
5:00 PM - Build Time Begins Five hours of focused building. Wordware's team will be on hand to answer questions & help you ship something real.
8:00 PM - Demo Hour Show what you built. No slides. Just live demos of working interfaces.
8:45 PM - Wrap-Up & Networking Mingle with the Wordware team & fellow builders. This is where the recruiting conversations happen.
Who Should Come
You're a developer, full-stack builder, or designer who can ship a working interface in a few hours. This isn't a beginner event-we're looking for people who can take an API & build something usable by end of night.
You might be:
A React/Vue/Svelte developer who builds clean, intuitive UIs
A mobile developer who wants to put autonomous AI in someone's pocket
A designer-developer who cares about making complex systems feel simple
Someone who's frustrated that AI agents are stuck in chat interfaces
Looking for your next opportunity at a company building serious AI infrastructure
If you've shipped production tools & want to work on something that matters, this is your night.
Why It's Worth Your Evening
Because you get to solve a real problem. OpenClaw is powerful open-source infrastructure that needs better interfaces. Your interface could become THE way people interact with autonomous AI agents.
You'll walk away with:
A working project for your portfolio that demonstrates real expertise
Direct face time with the Wordware team (yes, they're actively hiring)
Connections with other high-caliber builders in SF
The satisfaction of making AI agents accessible to non-technical users
Wordware is building serious AI infrastructure, & they're looking for talented developers to join them. This hack night is their way of finding people who can actually ship-and your chance to show what you can do.
What You'll Be Building For
OpenClaw gives you:
API access to an AI agent runtime that can take real-world actions
Support for Claude, GPT, & local models
Capabilities including file management, browser automation, email, shell commands
Proactive task execution (it can act without being asked)
Existing interfaces via Telegram & Discord (your competition to beat)
Your interface should make this accessible to someone who's never heard of any of this.
The Vibe
Focused. High-energy. Builders building. No pitch decks. No theory. Just five hours to prove you can make autonomous AI agents usable by real people.
Wordware's beach house, good food, & a room full of people who actually ship things.
Ready to Build Something That Matters?
Register below. We're capping attendance at 75-100 builders to keep the energy focused & ensure everyone has what they need to build.
If you can ship OpenClaw interface & want to show what you're capable of-or if you're curious about what Wordware is building-this is your night.
See you on the 19th. Come ready to ship.
