Brenda Jin - Staff Engineer @ Slack, Chapter Leader & Board Member @ Girl Develop It.
Brenda loves to empower humans to connect with each other & their environment using technology. She transitioned to a software development after brief careers in non-profit fundraising & operatic performance. At Slack, she launched the App Directory, improved API performance, & works on the Enterprise product. Previously, she was a UI Developer at Macys.com, where she played a key role in transforming the e-commerce company's website into a mobile-friendly experience.
Larissa Licha - Product Manager @ AdRoll
Larissa is originally from Germany but moved to San Francisco to work as Product Manager for Attribution & Incrementality at AdRoll. She leads a team heavily focused on research & development on all things causality. Before moving into tech, Larissa was a tattoo artist & part of a somewhat reasonably okay NY hardcore band, speaking of untraditional paths!
Kristin Mayer - Software Engineer @ Fabric Genomics
Kristin was an environmental consultant, Peace Corps Volunteer, PhD dropout, & design lecturer before she went to Hack Reactor in the fall of 2015 to become a software engineer. She has been at Fabric Genomics (formerly Omicia) for a little over a year now as a full-stack software engineer working on building their web application for clinical labs & hospitals.
Chaitanya Ravula- Director of Solutions Engineering @ AdRoll
Chaitanya is currently Director of Global Solutions Engineering at AdRoll. She build & leads teams that work on all technical aspects of integrations. She works closely with clients technical teams to ensure that integrations are robust & quick. She also loves robots, dogs, hikes, & traveling.
Hanah Yendler - Front End Engineer @ SEPHORA
Hanah is currently a front-end developer at Sephora, but is new-ish to the software world. Previous to software development, Hanah worked in food education, student affairs, cosmetics retail & majored in pirate history. Hanah attended a coding bootcamp, subsequently taught at two bootcamps, & is now excited to share her journey & love of learning. In her spare time she performs & teaches lindy hop & swing dancing.
Panel moderated by Truc Nguyen, Chapter Leader @ Girl Develop It & Senior Product Designer @ Unity Technologies.As an engineer by trainingturned generalist designer, Trucworks collaboratively with stakeholders to explore, design, & develop pragmatic solutions to business problems. Outside of work Truc enjoys being active- & had a brief stint as group fitness instructor- also also likes baking, cats, & empowering women.
