Speaker & panelist bios:

Vivek Agrawal, Business Lead, Bose AR, Bose Corporation

Vivek is currently the business lead for Bose AR, the world's first audio augmented reality platform, where he is responsible for advanced planning, strategy, & key partnerships for the business.

He previous led the audio team at Jawbone, where he led the product development from concept to launch of DROP, a social music app that allowed your friends to tweet song requests to your JAMBOX, that launched on-stage at Twitter Flight's Mobile Developer Conference in 2014. Before that he co-founded NoiseToys, a TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield company that created a social radio service that sold to Jawbone in 2013.

Outside of technology, Vivek is a passionate singer & composer. After graduating from Stanford, Vivek composed with Bollywood producer AR Rahman on a number of his movies in India, including the Oscar-winning score for Slumdog Millionaire.

Tom Emrich, Mentor/Advisor, Board Member: AugmentedReality.org, Founding Partner: Super Ventures


Sometimes called the man from the future, Tom is recognized as one of the world's leading thought leaders in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) & wearable technology. He was recently listed as an AR pioneer to watch alongside leaders from Apple, Snap, Facebook, Magic Leap & Microsoft. In 2013, Tom founded We Are Wearables which he grew to the largest wearable tech community of its kind prior to its acquisition by AugmentedReality.org, the non-profit behind the world's #1 spatial computing event series & community, AWE. At AWE, Tom played a critical role in building the AR & VR ecosystem producing conference & expos & meetups in the USA, EU, Asia & MEA for nearly six years, growing the AWE community to over 250,000. He continues to support the AWE community as a board member of AugmentedReailty.org.

Tom is also an investor. He was one of the founding partners at Super Ventures, the first fund dedicated to augmented reality, which he continues to support as a mentor & advisor. He is also a mentor at RLab in NYC, Techstars & Launch Academy & works closely with many startups as an advisor.

Tom leverages his unique mix of experience & relationships gained as a venture capitalist, product manager, journalist, consultant & community builder to help organizations prepare for the next wave of computing. His passion for futurism is rooted in his belief that these next waves of computing (spatial computing, affective computing, cognitive computing & beyond) play a critical part of our human evolution.

Vince Fung, Director, Product Marketing, Ultrahaptics


Vince joined Ultrahaptics as the Director of Product Marketing in 2017, bringing more than 20 years' experience in marketing, strategic partnership & the technology industry. He oversees all marketing for North America & is also responsible for the location-based entertainment sector. Previously, Vince worked at Intel, AMD, Analog Devices & multiple venture-funded startups in Silicon Valley, where he marketed innovative technologies & solutions for digital content creation & consumption & mobile communication. He holds an MBA in marketing & general management from Columbia Business School & an MS & a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Damon Hernandez, Product Manager, Samsung Research America, & W3C Immersive Web Working Group member


Damon works in many areas of the Web3D Industry & has been active in virtual environments & the 3D web for almost 20 years. He is actively involved with the 3D web's convergence with other technologies including IoT,GIS, CAD/BIM/CAM, AR/VR, mobile & advises a variety of entities that use these technologies. He is currently at Samsung Research America making the web browsing experience awesome & enhanced with immersive web technologies. He is also a co-founder of IDEAbuilder, a high tech building company that uses immersive technologies & robotic manufacturing to build more efficiently. He has built numerous mixed reality applications & has lead dozens of research projects in multiple domains.
